She would complain about her frizzy curly and unmanageable hair. I wanted to help but didn’t know how. As I grew and embraced my own curls, I found a whole new world. Very early in my career, I felt an affinity for curly hair. I seemed to intuitively understand its corkscrews and waves. I could see where they needed to be cut and where they wanted to lay. My interest in curly hair eventually led me to DevaCurl, where I completed my master-level training. The haircut is done on dry hair, which allows me to sculpt, edit and prune as needed.
